This shirred fabric is woven in the Banshu region of Japan, an area renowned for its rich textile heritage. A small amount of stretchable polyurethane yarn is woven into the fabric, creating its distinctive checkered crinkled texture.In addition to cotton and linen, the fabric contains modal, an eco-friendly fiber made from wood pulp. Modal gives the fabric a silky sheen and exceptionally smooth hand feel.
